Students in DigiMedia went through an application process to be a part of this groundbreaking class. Students will help in creating elements of multimedia to be used to engage, entertain, and enrich Lone Hill students and members of the San Dimas community. Class will focus on the creation of videos and public service announcements that relate to life on campus. Students will work as teams to create projects using many different media platforms including, but not limited to Adobe Premier Elements, Photoshop, iMovie, Final Cut Express, Garageband, Audactiy, Photostory, Movie Maker, Irfanview, Gimp, Paint, and many more. As in previous classes, students will need at least a 1 gb flash drive and a pair of earbuds/headphones for the class.
FOUNDATIONS 1: Digicom 101: Intro to Computers

Mr. Guiles will be teaching students how to organize files and windows in the Windows working environment as well as helping them create new and exciting documents using Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Pivot. Students will learn and memorize the keys of the homerow for touch typing and students will also experiment with sound and basic animation. It is recommended that students have a flash drive (1 gb recommended) and a pair of earbuds/headphones for the class. My daily updates and assigments will always be at http://digicom.edublogs.org
FOUNDATIONS 2: DigiCom 201: Computers and Multimedia

Mr. Guiles will be teaching students how to organize files and windows in the Windows working environment as well as helping them create new and exciting documents using Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Pivot. Students will work with more advanced graphics and photo editing software, create a product and then create a commercial to promote their product. Students will also continue to advance their typing skills learned in the 101 class. Programs used will include Gimp, Movie Maker, Audacity, Pivot, and more. It is recommended that students have a flash drive (1 gb recommended) and a pair of earbuds/headphones for the class. All daily updates will be happening HERE. |
