Ninth Grade Literature and Composition looks at a variety of literary genres including Fiction, Nonfiction, Drama, and Poetry. Additionally, focus will be placed upon writing so that a successful progression of writing ability is achieved by students. There will be an End of Course Test (EOCT) for Ninth Grade Literature and Composition, which accounts for twenty percent of the student's final grade. This test is given in place of a final exam; therefore, exemption rules do not apply in this course. This course is designed in alignment with the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards (CCGPS).
