American History will examine the development of modern America. It will begin with a short review of major themes of American History from 1865 to present. Themes include: Reconstruction, Industrialization, Reform Movements, US as a world power, WWI and II, Post-War era, and Civil Rights, and present history.
State capital quizzes, Amendments and Missouri Constitution tests will also be given. In accordance with Missouri State Law, students MUST take AND pass a Missouri Constitution Test.
World Geography is a class designed to give students an understanding of the different geographical features, people, cultures, economic and types of government of the many countries of the world. As well as giving the students a better understanding of them.
Students in this semester class will study the history of the world from Pre-history to the Reformation. The course is also designed to meet the state of Missouri “Show-Me” Standards in the Social Studies curriculum.
Rationale: This course is a chronological narrative of world history from the earliest civilizations to the Reformation. The class will trace the development of civilizations in different parts of the world
