Welcome to Miss Meadows's Class Website
I am excited that this is my 5th year of teaching in the Wolf Branch School District. I began teaching at the middle school as a Language Arts teacher in 2008. I moved to the elementary school to teach 5th grade, the following year. I found myself back at the middle school teaching 6th grade regular and advanced math, 7th grade media, and also 8th grade regular math the next year. This year, you can find me in the 6th grade hallway, once again, teaching 6th grade regular and advanced math, 7th grade media, and also 8th grade advanced math.
Prior to coming to WB, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education and graduated Cum Laude from McKendree University. I have also obtained middle school endorsements in Math, Science, and Language Arts.
I love being a math teacher! Please use this website as another tool toward a more complete understanding of the world of mathematics.

6th Grade Advanced Math

If no homework is posted, assume there is not homework that day.

Starting on January 28th and continuing for approximately 3-4 weeks we will not have any traditional homework, quizzes or tests. This is a principal-approved ISAT preparation period and atmosphere. During this time, students will be collaboratively working in teacher-created groups. Within these groups, students will be engaged in both teaching and learning. They will be teaching AND learning new and already covered concepts from the Common Core State Standards. In the past, students have really enjoyed this time and have shared with me that they learn these concepts on a deeper level than the traditional classroom setting. There will be participation grades during this ISAT prep time.
