|To celebrate the first day of fall, we made apple crisp. Everyone helped to make it and it was delicious.
In case you want to make it at home, here is the recipe.
Easy Apple Crisp
6 large apples (any kind)
1 cup water
1 package white or yellow cake mix
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 sticks butter, melted
1 ½ cups oats
1.Core, peel and cut up 6 apples. I cut them right into the pan. I use a glass pan (9x13).
2.Pour 1 cup water over the apples.
3.Sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon and sugar over the apples.
4.In a large bowl, melt the 2 sticks of butter.
5.Add the cake mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and oats
6.Stir well. If too sticky (buttery) add some more oats a little at a time or a handful of flour.
7.Crumble topping over apples and bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.
