Literacy Intervention Tier 3
Two Rivers Magnet Middle School Literacy Intervention currently offers modules of instruction designed to address needs in word attack, fluency, and comprehension.
Two Rivers Magnet Middle School literacy intervention operates on a flexible Response to Intervention model. We view reading as a recursive process. Work in more than one reading module may occur simultaneously. For example, a student may receive decoding instruction to help them attack multi-syllabic words effectively while also working to build fluency at their current reading level. We are able to vary the frequency and intensity of instruction according to student needs and capacity.
Resource
Resource meets 2-4x per week during encore blocks to address study skills, test-taking strategies,and organization. Opportunities for homework assistance are available.
