Welcome to Kington's Korner!
Welcome to Kington's Korner. My name is Linda Kington and I teach Family and Consumer Sciences and Culinary Arts at Cumberland County High School. As you may or may not know, we are in the process of completing a state of the art Culinary kitchen. We are anxiously awaiting our final inspection so we can develop and operate our Utopia Cafe'. Please check back throughout the year to see the progress of the students in Culinary Arts! The plans are being made to have a bake sale for the faculty and staff at CCHS. We will also have an open house for students and faculty when the kitchen is complete. Exciting things are happening at CCHS!

Culinary Arts
This course, which is the first level of Culinary Arts, prepares students for gainful employment
and/or entry into postsecondary
education in the food production and service industry. Content provides students the opportunity to acquire marketable skills by examining both the industry
and its career opportunities and by developing food preparation and service as well as interpersonal
skills. Laboratory facilities and experiences, which simulate commercial food production and
service operations offer schoolbased
learning opportunities.
