This course will cover Euclidean geometry, including discussions of angles, congruent and right triangles, similar polygons, circles, areas, volume, and constructions. Coordinate geometry and basic analytic geometry will be interspersed throughout the year to reinforce other concepts. Formal proof will be an integral part of this course. The program “Geometer’s Sketchpad” will be used as a demonstration and exploration tool.

This course is a must for business and non-business majors alike. The first-year course covers the complete accounting cycle theory for proprietorship and partnership. This is put into practice by the use of application to business situations. Partnership and corporate accounting are introduced to the students.
