6th Grade Computer/Keyboarding
Students will reinforce their keyboarding skills taught in previous grades. Students will learn Powerpoint and what makes a computer work such as: processor, RAM, monitor, operating systems, software, etc. They will also learn to manage graphics and photos, in addition to using ibooth.
Introduction to Business
Students will choose thirteen chapters or more covering entrepreneurship, marketing, management, business ethics, finance, human resource, and more.

Alternative Math/Consumer Math
Students will  enhance their learning of basic math using real world math, in addition, geometry, and algebra will be covered.

Entrepreneurship
The student will learn the procedures for creating an individual new or existing business plan. In addition, small groups will be formed to manage a mini-business for profit.

Accounting I
Student will learn how to use an accounting system for a proprietorship (Cycle 1) and partnership (Cycle 2). The following accounting concepts will be covered in Cycle 1: Why do we need accounting? Starting a proprietorship. Changes that affect owner's equity. Analyzing transactions into debit and credit. Journalizing transactions. Posting to a general ledger. Cash control systems. Preparing a work sheet for a service business. Preparing financial statements for a service business. Recording adjusting and closing entries and a post-closing trial balance.
The following accounting concepts will be covered in Cycle 2: Journalizing purchases and cash payments. Journalizing sales and cash receipts. Posting to general and subsidary ledgers. Preparing payroll records. Payroll accounting, taxes, and reports. Preparing a work sheet for a merchandising business.Preparing financial statements for partnerships. Recording adjusting and closing entries for a partnership.
Multi Media I
Multi Media I (9-12) H, TP SEMESTER

Multi Media I students will learn to use Adobe Photoshop, which is an image editing program that lets you create and modify digital images. An intro to scanning techniques and digital photography will be covered. A unit on adding media to Microsoft PowerPoint will be part of the curriculum. The student will also create a movie and convert it to a DVD format.

This is primarily an individualized self-paced instruction. If you are good at following step-by-step instructions from a text, this class is for you. The majority of the work is done in class and good attendance is required to be successful.
Computer Applications/Microsoft
The student will improve their keyboarding skills using the "touch type" method.The student will learn basic and advanced applications of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The student will learn the basics of Access. Basic photo editing and scanning will also be included.
