Upcoming Stuff for Math Class For the week of 12-01-08 we will be working on long division. On Monday and Tuesday we will be on 1 digit into 2 digit division problems with no remainders. On Wednesday and Thursday we will be working on 1 digit into 2 digit problems with a remainder. On Friday we will be working on 1 digit into 2 and 3 digit problems with and without remainders. Student homework for the week will mirror what we are doing in class for that day. All students will have homework every night this week. Long division is an important skill and MUST be mastered for students to be successful in the next unit " Data Analysis". In this unit students will learn about finding the mean, median, mode, and range. Please work with your child at home to ensure that they understand how to do long division and check it with multiplication.
