Tutorials are on Monday and Wednesday from 3:20 - 3:50 pm.  Please arrive promptly to pick up your kiddos!

Welcome to 6th grade science!  I will be updating this page regularly with assignments, reminders, and helpful hints!

We cordially invite you to participate in the CAMS Science Fair to be held on December 19 - 20th, with a very special invitation to the 5th grade of the elementary school.

Though the science fair is completely voluntary and must be completed outside of class time, teachers will be available to help students with their projects.  Students may work individually or in teams of up to three.  Teams are not limited to grade level or science teacher, and elementary students will be allowed to team with middle school students.  All projects must follow all International Rules for Precollege Science Research: Guidelines for Science and Engineering Fairs 2013-2014, which can be found online at the ISEF website (https://student.societyforscience.org).   The winners will advance to the East Texas Regional Science Fair to be held on Friday, February 28, 2014, in Kilgore, Texas.

While the project registration forms are not due until Monday, December 2nd, please make every effort to register as early as possible.  Projects will be approved on a first-come, first serve basis.  If two projects are the same or extremely similar, the first one turned in will be the one approved.

Please be prepared to show progress updates on December 6th and 13th.  The judging for the science fair will be held on December 19th, and parents are invited to view the projects later that evening.  There will be an informational parent meeting on Thursday, November 21st in the middle school cafeteria at 5:30 pm.  Please do not hesitate to call with any questions!

11/18 - The grading policy will be adjusted from the 3rd six weeks on.  Starting next week, the graded will be 40% major grades, 40% labs, and 20% daily work.
