Chemistry addresses the chemistry TEKS, but also seeks to prepare the students for AP (college level) chemistry or the next year science. Pre-AP chemistry requires a lot more outside time than regular chemistry due to projects, quizzes, and homework but I like to think that its worth it. On-Level chemistry requires that the student dedicates him or herself to the learning process and commits to studying outside of class.
