Meet Mrs. Harris

Our summer road trip to the Grand Canyon!

This year begins my 12th year of teaching. I have taught second grade for the past 11 years. This year I am excited to begin a new chapter in my teaching career. I will be working in fourth grade as a Reading Intervention teacher. I am looking forward to this new challenge. I have been married for 16 years to a wonderful husband, Patrick. I have two children, Caitlyn and Jordan, who make me smile every day! I had the priviledge of growing up in India and Thailand. I graduated high school in Bangkok, Thailand. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to experience other cultures. I enjoy sharing some fantastic stories with my students each year! I have a BS in Elementary Education from UAB. In 2004, I achieved National Board Certification, which makes me "Hiqhly Qualified" according to NCLB standards. I am also a big Alabama fan...Roll Tide!
