To back up what I do in the classroom, I would love for you to review the research findings supporting my classroom structure. If I am doing something that doesn't work for your child - let's talk. I learn something every time I talk with a parent that helps me qualify the strategy so that WE can formulate success. Take a look at the findings and synthesis below and let me know what you think.
There is a good link at Lexicon of Learning to help explain any educational terms. |

| Tabor Rotation Doctoral Thesis (248.85 KB) This dissertation is about learning stations that incorporate language arts and math. Not many middle or high school teachers use learning stations, although it is common in elementary schools.
I use learning stations in my classroom every six weeks. I got this idea from a master teacher ,Diana Murphy, who used it to move TASS scores up without resorting to worksheets and "drill and kill" instruction on the state-mandated test. I witnessed Diana using this in her classroom in 1997 and was so impressed by her success that I have worked to shape this idea to my classroom.
