What is a PLC
A Professional Learning Community (PLC) is a community of educators, instructional leaders, and students who work collaboratively to achieve student academic success.
About our PLC
The Grady 8th grade PLC meets as a team to organize goals, map curriculum, formulate common assessments, and develop intervention strategies for our students.
8th Grade Grading Rubric
The Grade 8 Grading Guide is a tool that is designed to better serve the learner, teacher, and parents in measuring each student's learning and mastery of specific skills and concepts. It provides a measurable framework for student learning.

The Grade 8 PLC is committed to an open line of communication with parents and family. We have scheduled a common conference time in which teachers, parents, and students can meet to discuss student progress and formulate strategies for student success. All parent / teacher conferences will be held with the members of the PLC. PLC conferences will be scheduled for Wednesday mornings, 8:00AM - 8:30AM.
Teachers have up to 24 hours to respond to emails and phone messages.
