Welcome to Fall Semester 2012 .  This semester we will focus on developing characteristic tone quality, learning all 12 major scales, sight-reading, and rhythm.  We have over 270 students in our program this year.  This makes our program one of the largest in the county.  We have a great group of freshmen, with a very strong group of upperclassmen returning.

The concert band will perform level II, III, and IV literature.  This band meets everyday during 4th period.  This class will continue to focus on developing a strong fundamental foundation.  We will place a strong emphasis on tone production, rhythm, and technique.  These skills are essential to becoming a successful musician.

The symphonic band is second of three concert bands. This band plays level IV and V literature and is the stepping stone into the Wind Symphony.

The NCHS Wind Symphony is our most advanced ensemble here at North Cobb. This ensemble is primarily comprised of junior and seniors. This group has a long history of musical excellence.  I am certain that this ensemble will continue this tradition.
