English 10A examines conflict and cooperation, choices and consequences, motivation, and values. You will read and analyze related literature and write expository essays and short fiction. This fall, you will review MLA citation format to complete your sophomore research paper. The general topic is "social issues." With each unit, you will also receive instruction and practice in grammar and vocabulary. Homework will include the research paper, special projects related to reading assignments, and grammar and vocabulary practice. I will post a calendar with a reading and assignment schedule for each unit of study.
