THIS CLASS IS A TECH PREP CLASS; IN OTHER WORDS YOU CAN GET COLLEGE CREDIT FOR THE CLASS FROM DCCCD IF IT IS PASSED WITH AN 80 OR ABOVE. YOU MUST REGISTER WITH DALLAS COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGES WEB SITE AND REGISTER THIS CLASS SO THE TEACHER CAN GIVVE YOU CREDIT FOR PASSING IT AT TEH END OF THE SEMESTER.
YOU WILL NEED THE PAPERWORK FOR THE REAL CARE BABIES SIGNED BY A PARENT BEFORE YOU CAN TAKE THE BABIES FOR THE WEEKEND ASSIGNMENT. GET THE PAPERS FROM MISS BRAY NEXT WEEK FEBRUARY 3RD. BRING THEM BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION-- This laboratory course concentrates on nutrition, food choices, and food management skills for the individuals and family throughout the life cycle. Instruction addresses nutrition and food science from the perspective of food habits and wellness, menu planning, special dietary needs, food costs and budgeting, consumers food-buying strategies, food safety, and sanitation procedures, food labeling and food handling, storage, and preparation practices. Meal etiquette, career options, and techniques for managing multiple family, community, and wage earners role are part of the content. The impact of technology on food choices, preparation, and nutritional quality is addressed. Student expense for food projects is approximately $25.00

This class is the second half of the Food Science class.FOOD SCIENCE-- This technical laboratory course is recommended for students in Grades 10-12. The recommended prerequisite for this course is Nutrition and Food Science. Principles of food science, technology, and nutrition are interdependent with growth, development, health, and wellness. Individuals utilize these principles to make informed choices, promote good health, and pursue careers related to food science, technology, and nutrition. Student expense for food projects is approximately $15.00.

IN THIS CLASS WE WILL MAKE A NOTEBOOK AS A "COUPLE" MAN AND WOMAN ALL ABOUT OUR "FAMILY". SO FAR WE HAVE WRITTEN A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF WHAT WE THINK WE WANT IN A MATE, AN EXPLAINATION OF HOW WE WANT TO BE SUPPORTED EMOTIONALLY AND A LIST OF NEEDS ADN WANTS. WE WILL CONTINUE THIS NOTEBOOK ALL SEMESTER SO DON'T GET BEHIND.
