Welcome to 8th Grade English! It will be a very busy year with all of the curriculum that will be covered. We will review the 8 parts of speech and learn about complements and phrases in grammar. We will write a personal narrative, expository essay, a persuasive essay, research material for writing, and each student will write their very own children's book. In literature, we will cover the literary elements, reading comprehension, test-taking skills and much more. Whew!! Buckle your seatbelts it will be a fast and furious year, but you will learn so much and then you're off to high school.
