In Pre-Ap/MYP English II, we will read texts using an analytical eye and examine works paying particular attention to the archetypal hero and story patterns (myths, hero, tails, etc.). We will approach our study of World Literature emphasizing the unmasking of how people across cultures have recorded their experiences; we will find what factors shaped their perspectives.
As we study language and literature of cultures around the world, we will use our readings as inspiration for the opportunities to write, acquire new vocabulary words, enhance our grammar skills and analyze texts in an advanced way.
