This is my fifth school year teaching at Hillsboro and I am proud to be a Burro!
A native of Gulf Breeze, Florida, I graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and have resided in Nashville ever since.
I earned my Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Tennessee State University in 2005 along with my certifications in English and Speech Communication. I joined the Burro faculty in January 2006 and am proud to call HHS home!
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Ryan, for three and a half years now. Ryan is an accountant at Kraft CPA's in Nashville. Although he can't really help me grade any papers, he is great when it is time to do our taxes!
We don't have any children yet, but we do have two nephews, whom we love to spoil: Joshua (5) and Luke (2)! Check out pictures of them on the "photo albums" page.

Forensics is a competition team where students can practice their skills in Speech and Debate. We compete locally with other MNPS schools about every 4-5 weeks. Students who are interested in Forensics are encouraged to visit my classroom during lunch to find out how to become involved.

Burro Time meets every Wednesday after 2nd period (8:00-8:25). This is an advisory period. This year, my Burro TIme group consists of Freshman students.

This summer, along with Mrs. Peterson of the foreign language department, I will be leading a group of students on an educational trip to Europe. We will visit London, England, as well as the Loire Valley and Paris, France. I have posted some information on this page regarding the trip we will take. Please click on trip website for more details. If you are interested in attending, please contact me and I will be glad to answer any of your questions.
