The weather has cooled and the leaves continue to change color and fall. Our first field trip of the year is right around the corner. (Details on times, etc will come home on Friday in my Newsletter and will also be posted on this webpage by Friday evening.) Our outing to the Pumpkin Patch on Monday the 29th will provide us with a great opportunity to see many of the things that we will begin talking and reading about this week. We are going to have lots of fun over the next two weeks getting to know more about how pumpkins grow, what is inside a pumpkin and making our very own classroom scarecrow. As earlier promised, Halloween will be presented without any scary ghosts or witches. We will however be reading read about spiders and bats using real picture books whenever possible. Also, we do plan to continue the annual tradition of taking our "Costume WalkAbout" on Wednesday October 31. I will send all the important details home in my weekly Friday Newsletter.
