As we say goodbye to Farmer MacDonald and all of his wonderful friends until next year, we get ready for a furry and roaring good time as we start a two-week lesson about all those animals that live at the ZOO!!!
At the end of this thematic period we'll be making our final field trip of the year to the Norfolk Zoo. We'll be sending more information and the permission slip home in the next few days. If our luck continues to run like it has all of this year, we will have many of our parents along as chaperones and have just as much fun as we did at the Jumping Monkey last week!!! Pictures from that day coming soon!!!
Our Letter of the Week is "O" and it brings sweet memories back to me because this was my son, Benjamin's very favorite letter when he was young. Ben is now 31 years old and would be mortified that I am bringing this up but "O" is a letter I have been looking forward to working on all year just for this reason. This week’s Target Vocabulary: Octagon (Stop sign), octopus, ostrich and orange (the fruit and the color). Remember that Show and Tell is Friday. The past few have been so much fun.
Please remember to send picture money or return unwanted photo packages back into school as soon as you are able.
Those children who are exiting the Early Childhood Special Education Preschool program, those turning five years of age by September, need to mark this coming Tuesday April 22nd on their calendars. This is the city wide day for Kindergarten registration for the 2008 – 2009 school year. Make sure to register your child at his or her school of record.
