We hope that you all enjoyed the day off on Monday but when the children come back to school on Tuesday we will hit the ground running. It will be our second week of Arctic Animals. We will talk about penguins, walruses, and seals. I hope that the children will enjoy the books that I have selected to read in circle.
Our letter of the week is "D" The words we will be working with are
door, duck, dog, dinosaur and (there has to be at least one food) donuts!!
Again, we will be working on visual identification, letter sound and the sign for "D" We also have been sending home a cute cheer for each letter and hope that you will say it with and to your child often throughout the week as reinforcement for what we are doing in school.
Remember that SHOW AND TELL is on Friday. I am hoping that we will have every child bring in something to share this week.!!!
Because Groundhog Day falls on a Saturday this year, we will also be doing a cute craft on Friday. Be sure to check at home to see if our furry friend "Preschool Patty" is calling for a short winter or a few snow days this year. :)
