Farm/Animals:
For the next few weeks we will talk about farm animals and the sounds they make. Activities are planned so the children will be able to explore the classroom objects such as farm puzzles, toy barns, play animals, and food items. Try exposing your child to the farm life by visiting a real farm. Since the weather is starting to warm up, it will be great fun to do activities outdoors. Language is the biggest area we focus on in preschool so allow your child to use language as much as possible and give them choices so that what they want is not just handed to them. Let them get involved in your everyday life activities; for example, household chores, grocery shopping, or preparing a simple meal. Children love to be around their families or familiar people so continue to help them grow around the ones they love. Remember getting your child involved may take a lot of planning and time. You can not be in a rush! Your child may not be able to help you with the entire activity so think about one skill that you would like them to work on and incorporate that into your planned activity. There are plenty of learning opportunities for your little ones all around, so get them involved and continue to promote language. It will be great fun and beneficial!
