Here are some guidelines to help students organize work in my fourth grade class.
1. Each student will need a three ring binder with dividers with tabs. For my class please label one section: Reading. That section will be used to keep the weekly Family Times Letter, Homework pages, review sheets, project information, or anything pertaining to fourth grade Language Arts work for the week. Other sections of the binder will be used for other subjects.
2. Bring spiral bound notebooks, pocket folders, preferably with brads, and other materials on the supply list such as pencils, erasers, glue, etc.
In order to get started, each student will need a spiral bound notebook(one each) for Reading and Journal Writing, as well as one pocket folder each for classwork and DOL(Daily Oral Language Review). Additional pocket folders may be needed later.
