I hope you and your family had an enjoyable spring break! As we return to the final weeks of school, please continue to work with your child daily. These last weeks are filled with excitement as the weather begins to change, and many times students begin to lose focus. I am excited about several projects that are upcoming to keep the students engaged with Language Arts. As always, thank you for your continued support and help at home!

Math night will be April 8th from 6:30-7:30. Come out for a night of family fun!
The Landstown Talent Show will be April 11th from 6:30-8:00. Enjoy a night of great entertainment!
The third marking period ends on April 17th. Report cards will be sent home on April 25.
Kindergarten registration is at 9:00am on April 22.
Please remember to check for Tuesday Dolphin Folder and return all signed papers the next day.

This week we are reviewing low grammar skills. Many students are still having difficulty with correct verb usage. We will be focusing our instruction on this skill over the next few days.
Remember, your child typically writes how they speak. Please try to encourage your child to use correct verb tense when speaking. This will greatly improve their grammar skills.

Our story this week is "Chibi." A mother and her ducklings decide to live in the middle of a busy city. When they outgrow their pool, the make a dangerous journey to find a new home. Ask your child for the details!
Our skill this week is fact and opinion. Ask your child to tell you a fact about the story and then give you their opinion. We are experts at telling the difference between facts and opinions.
