Welcome to first grade! I am Mrs. Emily Bearden. I graduated from Albertville High School in 2001 and obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State University in Elementary Education in 2005. This is my third year to teach. I began my career in Talladega County Schools teaching 2nd grade. This will be my second year in first grade at Albertville Elementary. I am happy to be back home in " The AGGIE NATION". Once an AGGIE... ALWAYS an AGGIE!!! I love AES and I love FIRST GRADE!!!
First grade is such an exciting time in a child's life. In my class your child will grow and develop into life long learners. The will have a supportive, nurturing, and loving environment in which to grow. First grade is a very challenging year. I will expect the very best from each of my students. Your child's hard work at school is only as important as the work you do at home. Support your child's education and growing process by devoting time to your child.
It is not only important that you read nightly, complete homework, and review lessons from the day with your child; it is imperative! I can not teach your child ALONE! This is a partnership between me, the teacher and you, the parent!
Parents... with your help, we can help your child to "Move Mountains" Help me to help your child be all that he or she can be!
