I am teaching one semester of 7th grade this semester. We are spending quite a bit of time on grammar early on. I read NIGHTJOHN to them and we filled out the plot diagram which will be used throughout the year for fiction.Second semester they will have Ms. Wegener.

An enriched course including literature such as OF MICE AND MEN, JULIUS CAESAR, GLASS MENAGERIE, COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, a unit on the Holocaust, vocabulary, several writing units about literature, a persuasive speech.

This fall my student teacher, Ms. Netter is teaching my class until December 15th. She has already had them write a paper, read OF MICE AND MEN, and another short paper.

a study of the history of film, its inventors, directors, actors, filmmaking techniques,Oscar and Golden Globe awards. Some written and oral reports are required,and scriptwriting for a film the students make.

This advanced senior English class now only meets 1 semester. It creates 3 school papers, reads one novel, creates articles, pictures, headlines,for publication. We also research an editorial topic and write a 5 paragraph editorial.

This class studies the mass media of tv, radio, music, the internet, newspaper, magazines. We also read a novel and a play, as well as writing an editorial from research and write a song lyric essay

This class does 9 speeches such as pet peeve, introductions, the eulogy, speech to convince. We also spech 9 weeks preparing and performing a children's play for the elementary.
