In order for your child to achieve success in my class, it is imperative that your child receives enough sleep the night before coming to my class, completes all assignments on time, and prepares for all exams in a timely fashion. Grading Criteria
Grades are averaged by the following weighted % for each category:
Projects/Reports/ 40%
Exams/Quizzes 30%
Homework/Classwork 30%

Mr. Martin's students will adhere to approved Miramar High School Class Rules. The student will:
1. Be in assigned seat, prepared for class when the tardy bell rings.
2. Respect the rights and property of self, others, and the school.
3. Follow teacher's instructions the first time they are given.
4. Exhibit behavior that does not interfere with the teaching or learning process.
5. Bring NO food, drink, or any distracting items to class.
6. Adhere to all school rules as stated in the Broward County Student Conduct and Code Book.
Aeronautics
The intent of this course is to expose students to a broad variety of topics within the world of aviation. Topics should include but are not limited to: historical development of aviation,the aerospace environment, the principles of aircraft flight and navigation, aerospace vehicles, rocketry and spacecraft, and the aerospace community of nations.
Aerospace Technology I
This course provides students with an introduction to the knowledge, human relations, and technological skills found today in Aerospace Technologies.
Aerospace Technology II
This program provides students with an intermediate understanding of the knowledge, human relations, and technological skills found today in Aerospace Technologies.
Aerospace Technology III
This program provides students with an advanced understanding of the knowledge, human relations,and technological skills found today in Aerospace Technologies.
Airport Operations
The course is designed to acquaint students with the airport industry. A comprehensive review will be made of the airport environment in regards to many facets of daily airport operations such as airport safety, evolving technologies used on site and the economic impact of airports on their surrounding community.
Aviation Math & Science
This course is designed for the application of math and scientific principles to the field of aviation. It includes the correct usage of aeronautical charts for the purpose of navigation and the ability to read common aircraft instruments and utilize these readings to calculate all needed information in planning and successfully completing a cross country flight. The student will also examine and analyze the scientific principles that apply to the functioning of an aircraft.
Flight Operations
This course is designed to acquaint students with the various aspects of flight operations in commercial air passenger & cargo service. Topics will include factors such as safety, maintenance, flight scheduling, facilities, and marketing.
