This course will introduce students to the wonderful world of clay!!! Our focus will be on methods of building, including coiling, slab-building, draped molds, throwing on the potters wheel and sculpting. The work you create in this class will be food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe, so your art can become a part of your daily life.

Supplies needed:  $10 glazing 

Old Towel, pencil and notebook for class, 

This course is offered to students who are interested in learning the basics of drawing. Students will use a variety of mediums, including charcoal, pencil, pastel, pen and marker. Students will create original images that have visual impact. Students will learn the Elements of art and the Principles of Design with an emphasis on composition. Throughout this course, students will develop life drawing skills, experiment vithvarious techniques and tools. Students will learn to evalute drawing using specific criteria.

 

Drawing Supply Kits available for $5

This course is designed to give students the background & experience to help them express themselves with paint. Learn various painting technqieus, composition and color mixing skills are the first part. Once that foundation is established, students will receive opportunities to experiment with modern art styles and techniques. Students will work with watercolor, tempera and acrylic paint
