To begin the school year we will start with reviewing previously learned concepts. This will help everyone remember the skills they already know so that we can begin to build on these. This list will tell you all of the math skills we will be learning this year.
Mathematics:
- Number sense: place value, fractions, decimals, percents, prime and composite numbers
- Computation: multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
- Pre-Algebra: variables, graphing expressions, ordered pairs, least common multiple, greatest common factor
- Geometry: angles, triangles, radius, diameter, transformations, polygons
- Measurement: length, area, perimeter, volume, weight, temperature, money, time, standard and metric units
- Statistics: mean, median, mode, range, ratios, and combinations
- Probability: likely, certain, impossible, probability equation
- Problem Solving/Critical Thinking
