Students will be working on Technical Writing this week which includes "How To" step-by-step directions in manuals, job applications, resumes, and various forms of documents.
We will continue reading the novel The Skin I'm In by Sharon G. Flake in class. Students are not allowed to take the books home as there is only a class set. We will be discussing the various themes that are throughout the novel along with analyzing characters, identifying tone and mood, identifying figurative lanaguage, completing a plot diagram, identifying the different types of conflicting, and many more literary elements.
Students will be participating in class discussion questions, completing various activities, and a final project.
We will also be reviewing for the upcoming CRCT. We will inner mix days for test prep review and the novel study. Please encourage child to attend school everyday as each lesson is important.
