Students in the upper grades study rhythmic and melodic notation. They identify meter in music and can identify as well as execute tempo and dynamic markings. They have begun to recognize music’s role in history as a reflection of the people, places and events. All these skills are implemented through singing and playing classroom instruments.
This year's musicals will be at 7:00pm on February 10th for the 5th grade and February 12 for the 4th grade. The theme this year will be 1950's Rock'n'Roll. The performance will be a little different because the students would like to invite their family members to participate as they host a 1950's style sock hop. So put on those bobby socks, roll up those jeans, slick back your hair and get ready to Rock'n'Roll 1950's style. |
