The "Stress Less" Tool Kit
Design your own tool kit for testing and other stressful events. Include tools for being prepared, focused, relaxed and positive in your kit.
Being prepared means having materials, being on time, preparing yourself physically and being persistent with practicing new skills.
Being focused means having your "brain on the right channel" and tuning out noises and visual distractions.
Being relaxed may include deep breathing and progressive relaxation exercises paired with using relaxing imagery and "self talk". Being positive also is accomplished through "self talk" and imagery.
Practice using your "stress less" tools and remember "practice makes perfect" or at least it can help us do our best.
