What a wonderful month!! We have so much to be thankful for, not just this month, but every month. We are such a blessed country to have so much freedom.
Our "scarecrow" unit is going well. We have made posters to give information about the different areas that the scarecrows came from. These have turned out really well. The students are working so well together to research the information and decide how to put it on the poster. AND most important to make sure that they have put all the criteria on the poster. It is great to see kids work together to accomplish a common goal.
Our Book Fair is coming up soon. Your child will have a chance to help run a business. Each student will be part of the advertising, marketing, and selling of books. They will receive payment in the form of a book of their choosing (up to $5.00). This is our third year to run the Book Fair and each year has been more successful than the last. Thanks for all of your support.

Mini-presentations

| This week the Mini-presentations are due. Students have been working on these in class and in the computer lab. They have been collecting information for their topic. Some have made word finds and crossword puzzles for handouts. They also have a rubric (attached). Over the Thanksgiving holidays they just need to practice presenting their information in front of someone (even a stuffed animal will work or a family pet). |
