The students are working steadily on a tutorial for our newest architectural CAD program, CHIEF ARCHITECT. To date students have constructed wall, windows, doors, foundations, and roofs.

We have finished up our units on wood as a material, and design and measurement. We are currently reviewing safe work practices with each machine in the shop.

Students have been working on basic thread and fastener drawings. Shortly we will move on to wall construction sectional drawings.

Students are begining an introduction to CAD. Students will be manipulating CADKey in order to generate basic 2-D drawings, including dimensions.

Students are finishing up a unit on material properties. We will be starting a paper structure activity which will require group work and application of material properties.

We have finished our basic intro to drafting. We are now working on how to use drafting equipment, and how to perform proper linework and lettering.
