Please Note: The St. Augustine field trip has been rescheduled for Monday, March 23, 2009. We will be sending home a new field trip permission slip and ask that you sign and return it. We are holding all money paid for the December 11 trip. However, if your child did not sign up to go, and you would like to sign him/her to go on the field trip set for March 23, please sign the permission slip and return with $10.50. The chaperone's ticket is $18. We are holding your money if you previously paid and would like to chaperone March 23. If you cannot chaperone, let us know and we will refund your money. If you would like to sign up to chaperone March 23 and did not sign up earlier, please let us know and send in $18 for the adult fee.

Story Map
Please use the story map for your fiction book responses. Only use it as a guide, but write the paragraphs in story format:
Setting:
Who are the main characters?
Where did it take place?
When did it happen?
Problem:
Write the problem (challenge) of the book in one sentence.
Events: (Write the most important events in sequential order).
Event 1

Event 3
Solution: Tell how the story ends (or how the problem is solved).
For non-fiction Literature Responses:
You need to list in ten sentences (numbered), ten new facts you learned while reading the book.
For Poetry book Literature Responses:
Pick your favorite five poems from the book. Name the Poem, then write a sentence or two why you liked it. Give an example or reason to explain.
