Blackboard and D2L
Currently the Los Rios Community College system is switching course management systems from Blackboard to Desire to Learn or D2L. You will receive an email from your instructor the week before class starts indicating which course management system to use to find the course web site.
Here is the basic information about how the the D2L and Blackboard systemsworks. When you register for a course I teach, you will find a web site which supports the course. To access D2L or Blackboard you will need a username and password, your username is your student number with a lower case "w" in front of it, your password is your birthday typed this way mm/dd/yyyy. After you initially login you can change your password.
You will find additional information on how to use and navigate in D2L or Blackboard under the course information, click on the name of the course (right hand side of this page).
