For the first quarter of math, we did a lot of work with decimals...adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
Second quarter is dedicated to fractions, and their relationship with decimals and percents. We will be talking about Least Common Multiple and Greatest Common Factor to help us add and subtract fractions.
We will also be talking about probability.

Second Quarter is all about poetry! We will be reading lots of different poetry and learning about the various types of poetry.
Students should be reading for 20 minutes a night. Since we have finished reading How to Eat Fried Worms, the students will be picking their own books and creating various types of in class book reports.
I love to read, and I welcome any and love book donations in the classroom! Picture books or chapter books, I love them all!
