This 2 term course is designed to examine the physical and characteristics of world regions through the study of global and regional systems and patterns. This will be accomplished through the examination of contemporary issues, population, economics,location, and movement.

This is a one-trimester course for seniors.  We cover five units:

Unit 1:  Foundations of the American Government (Chapters 1-4)

Unit 2:  The Legislative Branch of Government (Chapters 5-7)

Unit 3:  The Executive Branch of Government (Chapters 8-10)

Unit 4:  The Judicial Branch of Government (Chapters 11-12)

Unit 5:  Participating in Government

In this three term course, students will be given an opportunity to develop knowledge of and an appreciation for the contributions of many cultures to the collective wisdom of the human race. A marked emphasis will be placed upon the ideas and events of both Western and non-Western civilizations as they have come to shape our present existence.
