| Welcome to the PTO of Brevard Academy! |
The Parent Teacher Organization of Brevard Academy supports the overall mission of the school as set forth in the Brevard Academy Student/Parent Handbook. We support the values of the school as we strive for excellence in education. Our Parent/Teacher Organization is not affiliated with any national PTA. All money raised is used within the school to benefit our children and school staff.
One of the reasons for the popularity and success of charter schools is the high parental involvement. We have the privilege and responsibility to shape the future of our school. Each one of us brings unique talents to our school to create a healthy environment for learning. Each volunteer hour is tracked and enriches the school in many ways. Since we don't receive funding the same way as traditional public schools, each parent's participation is vital to our school's success.
As stated in the Student/Parent handbook all that is expected of each parent/guardian is 2 hours per month. Another option is a monetary donation of $5 per hour in lieu of hours. Donations may be placed in an envelope marked "PTO". Make check payable to "Brevard Academy PTO", and place envelope in the school office PTO box. Given the busy schedules and budgetary constraints we all have, a combination may suit you best. Our involvement goes a long way to contribute to the success of Brevard Academy and ultimately our children.
Brevard Academy participates in several programs that earn money and equipment for the school, at no expense to you! Each time you use the cards or save the items listed in the PTO Free Money for Schools Information (see documents below to download) you are helping our school. You can link friends and family members' cards to Brevard Academy, too. Your help and support are greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your involvement in the education of your child(ren). The time you spend helping the school will mean so much to the teachers, administration and especially to your child(ren). Please take a moment to fill out the PTO Contact Form,(see documents below to download) place in an envelope marked "PTO", and place in the school office PTO box.
