COMPUTER APPLICATIONS CLASSES
The integration of technology enhances middle school students’ emerging abilities to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information. Students can use productivity/multimedia tools to demonstrate and communicate curriculum concepts to audiences more effectively. Students can also evaluate the accuracy, comprehensiveness, and bias of electronic information sources concerning real-world problems.
This course focuses on learning the standard computer applications of Microsoft Word (MS) Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Publisher. Students will learn Adobe Photoshop, MS Movie Maker, and other computer programs as well. The class will utilize their knowledge of these skills to create documents, web graphics, and much more. Infused into the daily curriculum will be the basics of keyboarding while learning to increase typing speed.
