Students will gain a broad understanding of chemistry: the science concerned with the composition, behavior, structure, and properties of matter, as well as the changes it undergoes. It is crucial that students keep up on outside reading in order to participate effectively in class. Laboratories are a critical component of this class as they are conducted weekly. A notebook is needed for all assignments, activities, and labs.
