Honors American Literature 2012-2013
Honors American Literature is an exploration of how the creation and constant evolution of our culture has been perceived, questioned, recorded, discussed, analyzed, and retold by the writers of our country. As a class, we will study how historical events and beliefs influenced authors and the works they created, while we discuss the possible themes and purposes of numerous works. Our literature is still in its infancy when compared to other parts of the world, but the unique diversity of our culture creates some thought provoking questions.
