Algebra 2
"Algebra" is a loose translation from Arabic meaning "reunion of broken parts." In Algebra II we utilize tools from Algebra I to make connections between more advanced concepts in Algebra. Students will be deriving much of their own knowledge through group explorations and should be willing to approach unfamiliar problems. Topics in Algebra II will include sequences, statistics, functions, complex numbers, logarithms and trigonometry.
Further Geometry
This class is for students seeking a challenge in Geometry. It requires significant amounts of independent work and is based in proof and reasoning.
Geometry A & B Blocks
In this course students will explore logic, reasoning and proof through geometry. Students will begin with the basic postulates of Euclidean Geometry and build their own definitions and proofs to create an axiomatic system. While Euclidean Geometry will be the primary focus of this course, students will study three-dimensional geometry as well as algebraic geometry.
Geometry C Block
In this course students will explore logic, reasoning and proof through geometry. Students will begin with the basic postulates of Euclidean Geometry and build their own definitions and proofs to create an axiomatic system. While Euclidean Geometry will be the primary focus of this course, students will study three-dimensional geometry as well as algebraic geometry. |
