**New** Human Anatomy and Physiology 2011-2012
Human Anatomy and Physiology is a two-semester course designed for students interested in pursuing a career in any medically related field. Students will study the structure and function of the human body. Topics include chemistry of life, homeostasis, cells and tissues, and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Students explore how these systems function in relationship to each other and to the environment. This course includes lectures, reading assignments, lab investigations, research projects, and a variety of evaluations. Laboratory dissections of vertebrate animals, including the cat, and various animal organs are integral labs for this course.
