| Welcome to Mrs. Accomando's Third Grade! |
May is the beautiful month that we honor Mary, our Mother in Heaven. To remember Mary in a special way, we will be praying a decade of the Rosary each day after recess. Please be sure that your child has a rosary that he or she can use each day during this month!
This month and next, multiplication and division will be a part of most of our Math classes, even as we cover other concepts. Please practice multplication facts as part of the regular homework assignment each night. Mastery of these facts will be essential to a successful transition to Fourth Grade!
We will be enjoying Career Week, presented by moms and dads of our students! Thank you to all who volunteered to share special occupations and interests with our class this week!!
Overview of this week in Three Red:
Religion: we will discuss Jesus' message while on Earth and we will continue to honor Mary, our Mother in Heaven, each day by saying a decade of the Rosary every afternoon.
Reading- this weeks story is One Riddle, One Answer
Grammar- working with prepositions
Spelling- words with suffixes
Math- working with fractions, division review
Keep an active practice going at home on all multiplication facts- 2 through 9!
