Continuano ad usare il libro "Prego, la 6a edizione" ed anche un altro libro supplimento che si chiama "Un'estate tutta diversa". Students are reminded to prepare for their next oral (performance based), creative assignment, la pubblicita' italiana, which is due to be presented on Thurs., Nov. 5.
Students may work alone OR with 1 partner.
The commercial must be ALL in ITALIAN and prepared ahead of time with a length of 1-2 minutes. PLease be creative and use good Italian vocabulary, grammar and verb structures. If you can use a proverb or saying that we have used recently in class, then that would be great! Have fun and be funny! Make your commercial interesting! These will be taped.
Due dates: Oct. 27-tell Mrs. R. who you'll be working with and what your product is.
Oct. 28-write down what will be said in Italian during your commercial and hand in today.
Then from now until Nov. 5 prepare by gathering props and memorizing what you'll say.

Enjoy Italian Heritage Month October 1-31 by eating Italian food, watching an Italian movie, listening to Italian music, dancing the Tarantella or playing BOCCE. Remember to celebrate Christopher Columbus Day on Monday, October 12, 2009. Christopher Columbus was a navigator, colonizer and explorer. For 8 homework bonus points, please email Mrs. Rochniak the answer to these questions: In what year did Columbus land in the Americas (his 1st voyage)after being commissioned by the Spaniards? What were the names of the Spaniards who commissioned him? What was the name of the 3 ships that sailed together on the famous 1st voyage? and What was his son's name? (must be emailed by 10-13-09.......date changed to Oct. 23, 2009, in order to get bonus points!

1st quarter Bonus Points for Italian 37 & 39 due Oct. 19, 2009

Here is the assignment for those of you who would like to get bonus points for the 1st quarter. The typed up (double spaced and in Italian) assignment is due no later than Oct. 19, 2009 and can either be given to Mrs. Rochniak by the due date or emailed to her at prochniak@hamden.org.
The value of the assignment is 30 points towards your homework or your lowest quiz grade (not to exceed 100 points).
Assignment: Watch an Italian movie (either the movie could be in Italian OR set in Italy and be in English). You may either rent a movie or borrow one from the library or a friend. After you watch the movie, you will need to write a review on the movie and include the following (ALL IN ITALIAN)....your name, the date (in Italian), title of the movie with the director, a summary (like a book report) of what the movie was about (again all in Italian), tell what you learned from the movie and explain a connection that you have to this movie relating to your life or the life of someone you know, would you recommend this movie to a friend, did you like this movie (why/why not). |
