Hi, I am RoseEdda Slemp. I am the School Social Worker at Roan Creek Elementary. I have lived in Johnson County since 1984. I have four children - each of them graduated from Johnson County High School. I KNOW first-hand what a demanding yet rewarding job parenting is!
Come see me if you would like to learn more about any topic pertaining to families, kids, parents, or our community. If I don't know the answer (and I certainly don't claim to have all the answers!) I will find out who does.
Come talk to me if your family is experiencing any kind of crisis, such as:

• Loss of job/income
• Divorce
• Death
• Serious illness
• Loss of housing

I can refer you to resources for food, clothing, counseling, etc.
  I get to help families help their children be the best students they can be! What a great job!!!

A group of fathers/grandfathers at Roan Creek Elementary contribute a diverse set of volunteer services for the safety and welfare of students:

• Direct morning drop-off traffic
• Speak to classrooms about safety in the parking lot
• Provide additional security and traffic control at school functions and activities
• Provide input for school programs and facility improvements
• Provide positive male role models for students
• Mentor students during school and after-school activities
• Tutor individual and/or groups of students
